Preview: Atlas vs. Boca Juniors

Tomorrow Atlas will play Boca Juniors, the current Copa Libertadores champion, in the return leg of the Copa Libertadores. Atlas managed to get a tie in the first leg 2-2, and will now look to close it out at home.
Atlas has an advantage in the tie, but this does not mean that they will enter the estadio jalisco looking for one. Coach Brindisi has acknowledged that the only way to beat Boca Juniors is by attacking. Boca Juniors has already won a big game as visitor in this tournament and Atlas is not trying to fall into complacency.
A big change for Atlas is that they have had a full week to prepare for this game, since they no longer have to worry about the domestic tournament. The players have all said that the week-long preparation has been beneficial and they’re all optimistic about advancing. Boca Juniors has some injury troubles, Riquelme is still not 100% and they will be without their starting keeper, who suffered an injury in the first game against Atlas.
Atlas will advance on any win, or a a 0-0 and 1-1 tie and a 2-2 tie would send the game into penalties to decide who advances to the semis.
I am going to bank on the fact that at the jalisco Atlas is almost untouchable, even against the mighty Boca Juniors. With the fans having only the Copa Libertadores to cheer about now, look for the stadium to be draped in red and black.

I think Atlas might win considering their home record in Libertadores. I’ve heard a lot of good things about vidrio lately , even comparisons to Marquez. How good is he? Do you think he might even move to Europe soon? Mexico has a good list of young players.
