10 Things You Didn’t Know About Bruno Marioni

With the return of Marioni to Atlas and the start of the Clausura tournament just one day away, it’s time to get a little more familiar with Atlas captain Bruno Marioni.

He hates the smell of cigarette smoke. He hates it so much that he is pretty good at detecting the smell. He is able to smell cigarette smoke on his mother even a day after she’d smoked
He loves motor sports, he will wake up at 3 AM to see a time trial taking place halfway around the world.
He loves video games. He will spend hours online playing racing games against with his brothers in law.
Once he was in a race car with his brother in law when they were clipped going 230 km/h, the car hit the wall, got up in the air, came down and hugged the wall to a stop. Luckily no one was hurt and Marioni left the car with his helmet on so no one would recognize him.
He will keep wearing a pair of cleats that are “hot”. After last year’s Interliga he kept those cleats to the point where he had them repaired a couple of times.
Marioni didn’t start drinking beer until he played in Mexico. His teammate from Pumas Leandro, introduced him to the drink.
He loves Coca Cola even though the coaches don’t usually approve of the sugary drink, Marioni says he often hides one in his luggage so that he can drink it before going to bed.
Favorite TV Shows: 24, Lost, and Prison Break.
His music tastes are all over the map: cumbia, rock, reggaeton, salsa, etc. He went to see both Evanescence and Fraco de Vita in concert. (separately of course)
Once as a kid he was playing frisbee with a sharp aluminum can lid when his younger cousin walked in between his throw and took the lid to the forehead. To this day his cousin has a scar running across his forehead, courtesy of Marioni.
