

10 Things You Didn’t Know About Hugo Ayala

It’s time for another installment of “10 Things You Didn’t Know…” This time we will be taking a closer look at current captain and all around awesome guy Hugo Ayala.
- He started his career in the Monarcas soccer camp, but things didn’t work out and he made his way to Atlas
- He enjoys buying shoes, hats, and watches
- He loves video games
- At age 11 he had the choice of going to the children Olympics for swimming or to a soccer tournament and he chose the soccer tournament
- When he was younger he would often injure his neighbor even though he really didn’t dislike him
- He likes to go to the movies and watch inspirational movies
- His on the field role models are Rafa Marquez and Alessandro Nesta
- He hates reading, when people give him books he often starts them but never finishes them
- He started his career as a forward, then got moved to defensive midfielder and finally Atlas moved him to central defender
- As a kid he wanted to grow up to be a jockey
