10 Things You Didn’t Know About Hugo Ayala

It’s time for another installment of “10 Things You Didn’t Know…” This time we will be taking a closer look at current captain and all around awesome guy Hugo Ayala.

  1. He started his career in the Monarcas soccer camp, but things didn’t work out and he made his way to Atlas
  2. He enjoys buying shoes, hats, and watches
  3. He loves video games
  4. At age 11 he had the choice of going to the children Olympics for swimming or to a soccer tournament and he chose the soccer tournament
  5. When he was younger he would often injure his neighbor even though he really didn’t dislike him
  6. He likes to go to the movies and watch inspirational movies
  7. His on the field role models are Rafa Marquez and Alessandro Nesta
  8. He hates reading, when people give him books he often starts them but never finishes them
  9. He started his career as a forward, then got moved to defensive midfielder and finally Atlas moved him to central defender
  10. As a kid he wanted to grow up to be a jockey
