Achucarro to Miss Libertadores Game
By: Alan | March 20th, 2008
Forward Jorge Daniel Achucarro will miss Atlas’ next Copa Libertadores game on the 25th against UA Maracaibo. Achucarro who has scored 4 goals in 9 games this season for Atlas will play with the Paraguayan National team on the 26th when Paraguay faces South Africa.
Achucarro said he was glad to be called for his national team adding that it’s “good to be called, they’re calling me for a reason, it means that I’m doing things well here [with Atlas]“. About missing the game against Maracaibo, Achucarro said he was sad to be missing the game, but that he’ll be cheering on his teammates and that he’s confident that whoever replaces him in the game against Maracaibo is more than capable of doing a good job.
Achucarro better hope that his replacement doesn’t do too good of a job, since Brindisi doesn’t cut players slack for playing for their national team.
