Atlas 1 – 4 Santos

Atlas lost away from home in a week 14 game that showed that Atlas is still looking for a good keeper.
This game was bad for Atlas, losing 4-1, having an own goal, and only being 1 point ahead of third place Jaguares are all bad things.
The worse part is that in this game Atlas showed that as good as they can be, it can all go up in flames. I think the whole game was beautifully if painfully symbolized in el Pecho’s play, which if you didn’t see the game was all of one minute before he needed to be subbed out.
Clearly, not everything went wrong, given the fact that Atlas did score once. However, the only player out there that seemed to want to play was Marioni. After taking a lot of heat from La Volpe it seems that some players are trying to show him wrong, and show they can play while others are waiting for transfer season.
If the liguilla started today, Atlas would advance as second place in group 3, however, there is still 3 weeks to go and Atlas needs to stop thinking they can go the rest of the season on cruise control.
