Atlas 4 – 2 Indios
By: Alan | September 21st, 2008
2-2 baby, with the new coach anyway, and this time it was in style as they visited Indios.
Atlas get the three points, and forward Ariel Bogado is the new tournament leading scorer with 7, after scoring two in the game.
This was an important win for Atlas who are beginning to pick up steam, yes I call two wins in a row picking up steam, and more importantly pull off a win away from home.
Atlas now moves into 3rd place with 11 points in group two, in which 2nd place Tigres still is yet to play. It looks like all is well with a new coach, although it’s hard to say whether the players are playing better with the new coach or because they’re scared of getting fired, but either way works.
Atlas will also take part in the InterLiga tournament if things remain the same.
With plenty of time left in the season it looks like Atlas can dig themselves out of the early hole they got in, dig themselves out with some silverware.
I can dream right?
