Big Win in Copa Libertadores

I’ve never been happier to be wrong. My 0-0 prediction for Atlas in their Copa Libertadores game against Lanus fell through, but it fell through because Atlas won 1-0 thanks to a goal by Bruno Marioni, who is becoming pretty clutch.
After the goal Atlas was content with defending theie lead and in the second half Atlas was pretty much only attacking on the counter attack. I don’t like to question coach Brindisi, but cramming your players on your half of the pitch and defending for the last 10 minutes of the game isn’t a good way to keep a score, call me old fashioned but I’m for the whole “the best defense is a good offense”. Nonetheless, Atlas came out with a crucial away goal and the W.
This win means that Lanus will come into estadio Jalisco next week and face a hostile home crowd that will make their presence known. All is looking good for Atlas to advance to the quarter finals, Atlas is a tough team to beat at home. The next leg is already promising to be a good game.
