Hey There Stranger

Guardado HappyAndrés Guardado, midfielder for Deportivo la Coruña, and ex-Atlas player is back home with the team to rehab the muscle tear in his left thigh. But he’s doing more than rehab in Guadalajara, he’s also scouting.

Andrés Guardado told reporters that Deportivo la Coruña has a lot of interest in Mexican players. Although not disclosing any names, Guradado says that the team is really looking for a center back. Guardado believes there will be a lot of Spanish and English teams looking to add a Mexican player to their rosters. He stressed the importance of doing well in competitions such as Copa Libertadores, whom the European leagues follow with interest.

No matter what the reason for his visit, it’s good to have Guardado back with Atlas. I think his success will inspire players and help push them harder in training which translates into wins. Hopefully Guardado can share some tricks with his former team because they need to be in top form for their game against Santos.
