It’s a Start

By: Alan | February 1st, 2009

This week’s game showed that in football it doesn’t always have to be pretty, sometimes it can be really, really, really ugly.

The 1-1 tie, with both goals coming by way of penalty, with Tigres proves this.

Coach La Volpe sat in his fancy press box to witness how bad the team can play, and hopefully brought a lot of paper to note all the horrible mistakes that the team made, like Achucarro missing a goal with an open net in front of him.

Also, someone needs to tell Darvin Chavez that 2 red cards in 3 weeks of the tournament isn’t the kind of thing you want to be known for.

In the end at least we have a point and La Volpe will take over the team soon and hopefully teach Achucarro how to finish, and Darvin how to play soccer.

And besides complaining about his back-pay, Marioni managed to score the goal for Atlas after a controversial penalty call.
