(Update)La Volpe New Coach at Atlas

According to both a news story on TV Azteca and goal.com La Volpe is the new coach of Atlas as of yesterday night, however with no official word on the Atlas web site I’m counting all of these as still rumors, more info as it comes in.
According to some of these rumors, Dario might have left Atlas for more than he let on, as he played under La Volpe for Atlas in 95-97.
La Volpe led Atlas to a Primera Division finals in 1999, which is as close as they’ve been since they last won the league in in 1951.
Update:It seems mediotiempo has added themselves to the list of sources claiming that La Volpe is now the new coach of Atlas. Also according to the site, Gastón Obledo, the interim coach will be leading Atlas this saturday against Tigres.
An in bigger rumor news, it appears that one of the higher ups has put in some personal money to bring La Volpe to Atlas, news which was bittersweet to Bruno Marioni who claims that some players have yet to be payed monthly salaries. It seems the drama continues.
