Losing Ground

Yet another dip in the rollercoaster ride that is being an Atlas supporter. Atlas lost 1-0 to Necaxa in week 13 of the Mexican tournament. There were many chances for Atlas to tie or win the game but the team was unable to capitalize any of them.
To make matters worse, Atlas lost more than the game this week, they also lost the number two spot in group 2 to Monterrey. Santos is still leading the group with 21 points, but Atlas will have a chance to make up some ground next week when they play Santos.
However, there’s not too much time to wallow in the loss or think about Santos, because Atlas needs to concentrate on their Copa Libertadores game against Boca Juniors this tuesday at home.
