New Coach, New Results

By: Alan | September 15th, 2008

Atlas finally received three pints after beating Puebla by a score of 2-0. Atlas’ killer B’s (Bogado and Botinelli) scored for Atlas and Bava (also part of the killer B’s) was able to hold on to the clean sheet.

This was a huge win for Atlas which might have been distracted from the game due to the change in skippers, however, the week off to FIFA qualifying gave Atlas a chance to work out with their new coach and ultimately come up with the win.

This means that at the moment Atlas stands in fourth place with four points and plenty of season to go. The one big concern for the club is that they will be playing in the Libertadores again, and they lack the depth to be able to field two different team, which means that towards the end of the season fatigue might play a factor in the teams run to the playoffs. However, at the moment all is good with new coach Dario Franco.

good game, win was definitely needed. you should probably mention how the stadium was almost bare because a lot of the barra 51 didnt show out of protest, and the ones that were there made signs and did cantos insulting the directiva, which lead to the president saying the next day that he wouldn’t seek reelection.
