One More Year for Brindisi

By: Alan | April 28th, 2008

Coach BrindisiClub president, Fernando Acosta has confirmed that Coach Miguel Brindisi will be Atlas’ coach for at least one more year. Acosta said that Brindisi guarantees harmony in the team and added that “with Brindisi we have a base to form a great team, he is an exellent coach, a great motivator, he has united the team, and he’s a good person.”

I agree with Acosta, coach Brindisi has done a great job with Atlas, they’re doing well not only in the domestic tournament but also in outside tournaments, winning the interliga tournament to secure a spot in the Copa Libertadores, where they’ve advanced past the group stages. With all of these different tournaments, having a coach who can handle more than just the athletic part of the game and care for his players is important. I say long live the Brindisi era, who knows he might even lead Atlas to two pieces of silverware this year: domestic and Copa Libertadores.

One can dream, no?
