Preview: Atlas vs America

By: Alan | February 18th, 2009

This week the Mexican Primera is on double duty and because of this Atlas will play tonight at 8 EST visiting Las Aguilas del America.

This game is more hyped up for America fans who will see the coaching debut of Chucho Ramirez at the helm of their club. Atlas’ had the debut of el Bigotón spoiled so let’s hope that we can pass along the favor to America and Chucho.

The stadium is more likely to be hostile, but hopefully Atlas can establish some sort of momentum from their first win last week.

However, I think that both coaches will spend most of the time feeling each other out tactically and therefore none will want to risk too much. The legends of America goalie Memo Ochoa guarding the America net are also more than likely to pose a problem. I think that Atlas will be able to get one point out of this encounter, which isn’t so bad for a visiting team in the Azteca.

Prediction: Atlas 0 – 0 Atlas
