Transfer List

Atlas has released their transfer list for the summer. Although there’s only five names on the list two of them are pretty big shockers.

- Pedro Hernández
- Oscar Vera
- Alfredo Sánchez
- Jorge Achucarro
- Bruno Marioni
No that is not a typo it actually reads Bruno Marioni, yes the same Bruno Marioni who admitted to taking a pay cut to return to the club he had so much fun.
It’s hard for me to know how to feel about this, I mean on the one hand you have Marioni who sure is getting up there in years and maybe should have played his cards better with the whole “I haven’t been paid in three months” but the man took a pay cut to join the team, that has to count for something right?
On the other hand we have coach Lavolpe, the stach, the man who had Atlas one step away from finally getting a trophy. Who knows what cogs are spinning in his mind, is this to prove a point, does he see something missing in Marioni?
I don’t really know whose side I’m on but I now that this probably isn’t over yet.

the reason marioni has been targeted was his lack of desire and drive the last few games. i know personally it made me sick. at the end of the season lavolpe met with the directiva and when asked about his plan for next season essentially said something to the effect of “bruno goes or i go” and that he doesnt fit into his system.
that system being guys that work hard and care about the team theyre on..
